Hay algunas noticias en materia de historieta infantil, no tantas como podría haber, tratándose de un sector amplio y seguramente lucrativo. A continuación algunas novedades recientes, fuera de lo que son las revistas infantiles.
Gárgola comenzó a publicar adaptaciones de películas de Disney.
La editorial Colihue editó los libritos Bicherío, en los que Sanyú adapta para los más chicos la historieta del mismo nombre que Tabaré hiciera para la revista Humi.
En junio salió el cuarto y último libro de Facu y Café con Leche, historietas para los más chiquitos del mendocino Chanti, una recopilación de episodios aparecidos en la revista La Valijita. Hay algún otro proyecto dando vueltas que busca editar en libro recopilaciones de historieta infantil aparecida en revistas.
Hablando de historieta infantil, no se puede dejar de mencionar a Banda Dibujada, la agrupación que viene trabajando hace tiempo por su difusión. El sábado 11 de agosto inaugura una exposición de historietas en la Alianza Francesa (Av. Córdoba 946, Cap.Fed.), que podrá verse hasta el 31. Con el título "El Fascinante Mundo de la Historieta: Banda Dibujada en la Alianza Francesa", reúne material de la serie didáctica que se publica regularmente en la web Biblioteca Imaginaria. Ideada por el grupo organizador de Banda Dibujada, son historietas que hablan de historietas, con el objetivo de que el docente cuente con material específico de historieta para trabajar en el aula y, por supuesto, que los niños disfruten de su lectura.Blog de Banda Dibujada
